
As President of rareEarth Project Marketing and through his work in previous roles, James has led teams in the sales and marketing of 55 successful communities, worth over $1.65 billion. Over James’ 17 years in the industry he has actively worked in each function of the sales and marketing program. He has personally spent countless hours on the sales floor working directly with buyers; he has developed and executed numerous award-winning sales and marketing plans for residential and recreational communities ranging from $10 million to $150 million of which 15 were substantially sold out within the first week of the initial public opening. James actively leads each development sales and marketing program, and is involved in virtually every meeting and discussion to ensure there is no room for error and every opportunity for success. His career in the real estate industry includes seven years as VP Marketing with PaceSetter Marketing, four years as Regional VP with Intrawest / Playground, and six years as President of rareEarth Project Marketing. James also is the President of James Askew Real Estate Ltd., which is the exclusive real estate brokerage for rareEarth sales programs.
James is also highly involved in various volunteer community organizations such as the West Vancouver Soccer Club where he is Fundraising Director, Streamkeepers WV, and Homes of Hope International that builds new homes for families in need in Mexico.

Lara manages all marketing initiatives at rareEarth, executing effective marketing and communications strategies from the ground up. She is a whiz with budgets and competitive market analyses, and a pro in coordinating PR, media plans, and VIP events.
Lara cut her real estate marketing teeth working on some major developments - she closed 90% of Watermark Beach Resort, a project where more than 80% was bought during pre-sales; The Cottages at Cultus Lake, a resort that sold $40 million in just six hours; Trump Oceanfront Resort, a Donald Trump luxury resort in Baja, where more than $122 million sold in a single day; and the Parksville Beach Club and The Residences at The Beach Club, a quarter-ownership and full ownership resort which sold more than 199 quarters in five hours.
